Cecilia R. Sanchez, MD
A Board Certified Ophthalmologist who sub-specializes in the medical treatment of retinal diseases, especially diabetic eye disease. She is a graduate of the University of Texas Pan American in Edinburg. She received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed her internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Following her ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, she completed a one-year fellowship in medical retina at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston focusing mainly on diabetic eye disease. She also spent time at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Harvard Vanguard clinics to focus on macular degeneration, vein occlusions, retinal tears, and other retinal conditions. Dr. Sanchez welcomes all adult patients with diabetes and retina disorders.
